About Our Winery

Our family-owned estate was founded in 1780 in the South of France, between the Rhône Valley and the Languedoc. Every stage of production is carried out with care by our family and our team, from cultivating the vines and harvesting the grapes to vinification, ageing and bottling.

The estate covers approximately 50 hectares and produces IGP and AOP wines. Our principal grape varieties include Syrah, Grenache, Merlot and Chardonnay. The vines grow in a sunny Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and occasional rainfall. The soils contain rounded pebbles that absorb heat during the day and release it at night, while the Mistral naturally helps keep the grapes healthy. We favour sustainable practices and limit treatments to protect the vineyard and its natural balance.

About Our Region: the Languedoc

The regional IGP area stretches across a large part of the South of France, from Nîmes to Perpignan and Carcassonne. The Languedoc is one of the pillars of French wine production and is known for its exceptional diversity of landscapes, soils and grape varieties. Its wines are often generous, fruity and expressive. Traditional varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Cinsault grow alongside Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our Vineyards and Terroir

Our vines grow in a sunny Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers, occasional rain and the cleansing influence of the Mistral. Rounded pebbles absorb heat during the day and release it at night, helping the grapes mature while allowing rainwater to reach the roots.

Unique Terroir

Rounded pebbles, warm sunshine and Mediterranean influences give our wines their generous fruit and distinctive personality.

Sustainable Practices

We limit treatments and work carefully to preserve the vineyard, its wildlife and its natural balance for future generations.

THE HARVEST

A Joyful and Precise Moment

Harvest is one of the most beautiful moments of the year: the reward for months of careful work in the vineyard.

Each parcel is harvested at its ideal maturity. Our team selects healthy grapes with the precision required for every cuvée.

It is also a joyful and generous time, shared with the people who help us bring the new vintage to life.

Our Grapes and Characteristics

Our vineyard brings together Mediterranean and international grape varieties. Each one contributes its own colour, aromas and personality to the Rabbit Family wines.
